3-7 yr olds
Forget about having tons of kids racing through your home after eating tons of sugar. Let ‘em unleash that energy @ GRIT! Kids love to run, climb, jump and swing as they race through the course/ Parents can relax or join the fun!
7- 12 yr olds
Nothing is cooler than a party that is all about them! For Tween parties, we recommend including Nerf or other challenges and thrills! The space is yours to do what you want. Anything goes @ GRIT. Our goal is to make sure your tween has the best birthday ever!
Teens
No kid is too old, or too cool for GRIT. Let them show off their Ninja Warrior skills as they climb the WARP Wall and race across the obstacle course. Or try the GRIT version of WORLD CHASE TAG! A party to remember!

NOTE: Birthday Parties are subject to availability. Additional kids can be added for $30 per person for both the BASH & ULTIMATE Party. UNLIMITED PARTIES are for up to 25 kids. Over 25 kids require hiring an additional coach ($99) for safety. Additional time can be added for $300 per 30 minutes. Our Coaches do a FANTASTIC job. Minimum Tips for Coaches are required.

NINJA Obstacle Course
Test your skills on an age-appropriate Ninja Obstacle course that will challenge you to run faster, jump higher, and climb your way to the top!
Parkour Chase Tag
Race against the clock while you dodge roadblocks and use obstacles to evade being tagged by your friends in this twist on the classic game of tag!
Floor Is Lava
Best suited for younger athletes, Floor is Lava is a thrilling game that will test your speed and quick thinking while you race to change your position to avoid being rushed away by the Lava Monster!
Dodgeball
Put your athleticism to the test as you work to eliminate the other team while dodging incoming projectiles! Use your creativity to build a fortress to stop the invading team!
Tug of War
Put your strength to the test with this classic game of Tug of War! Challenge your friends (or your parents) to take on you and your friends to see who's got the most muscle!
Basketball
Is your kid a baller? Have them play classic basketball games such as Knockout, Lay-up Races, and Team Scrimmages against their friends!
Soccer
Does your kid want to be the next Messi or Ronaldo? Have them play fun soccer games such as Penalty Kick Shootout, World Cup and Team Scrimmages against their friends!
Football
Is your kid a football fanatic? Test their athleticism in an NFL Combine-style training party that focuses on speed training, pass-catching and making big plays!
NURF Battle
A GRIT Favorite: Split into teams, build your fortress, and battle your friends to see who's got the best shot!

What does a typical PRIVATE Party @ GRIT look like?
Every private birthday party @ GRIT is specially designed for you!
You're renting out our entire facility for your celebration, and we want it to be very SPECIAL! No being moved from room to room! GRIT is all yours for your special event!
Once your guests arrive and have checked, the participants will be taken into the GRIT GYM by our fantastic coaches, who will run the party games of your choosing! Ensure your cameras are ready as your birthday child and their friends have the time of their lives as parents cheer on the fun!
With the games complete, it's time for a group picture before the food and birthday celebration! Remember, you will have GRIT for yourself during the entire event! No moving to a party room! The whole event happens in one place!
Does "Up to x Participants" include the birthday child?
Why would we count the birthday child? You are here to have fun.
Our base BASH package is for "up to 10 participants" PLUS the birthday child and their siblings! A participant is any child over three who is on the course and actively involved in the games and activities run by the coaches.
We DO NOT count parents, grandparents, or friends to stay and watch, nor do we charge babies and toddlers (under 3) who attend but do not participate. Our Fan Favorite ULTIMATE package includes up to 20 participants.

We are happy to accommodate you (additional fees apply). Additional participants can be added for $30 per participant and will be added to your final invoice.
For UNLIMITED parties, there are no restrictions. However, we require an additional coach ($99) for over 25 participants for safety reasons
Are there specific places for younger children to play?
GRIT is filled with foam and wooden obstacles. It is not designed for children under 3. Although we permit younger children in the gym area, parents must watch over them because our coaches must concentrate on providing a fantastic birthday experience and cannot guarantee the safety of non-participants.
Can I bring my own decorations/plates/napkins?
Yes, GRIT provides white paper plates, plastic cups, and utensils. If you would like to bring your own decorations or themed decorations, plates, and napkins, you are welcome! Michaels, Walmart, Target, and Amazon have great themed birthday party accessories, and Michaels has Helium Balloons!
We will start setting up your Private Party 15 minutes before the scheduled start time, so feel free to arrive around that time. If you come any earlier, GRIT will not be ready because another party will be held before yours. But don't worry! We are pros at setting up parties. We have a staging room next to the main gym where you can put your decorations, food etc. on the day of the party
Can we bring our own pizza or outside food and drinks?
This is your private party! Bring pizza, food, and drinks ( BYOB), or hire GRIT’s Party Planning team to do it for you (for an additional fee). We know that Jersey City has a range of great food options. We are not in the food business and don't want to be:). See our Catering Guide for more information
Can we have a Pinata?
We love the idea of pinatas! They can be so much fun! But they can also be dangerous and messy, and typically result in someone crying because they did not get the same or more candy or prizes as someone else! If you want to have a pinata, we have a perfect spot for it, but we ask that it has a string to pull, is only filled with candy, and does not need to be batted open. While fun, the bat is also a bit dangerous. We have had some close calls and would rather avoid someone getting hit. So please, no pinatas that need to be hit to break open. We also love the idea of confetti! But please, not at GRIT. A pinata or unique birthday popper with confetti is undoubtedly thrilling, but it also creates quite a mess that needs to be cleaned up when your party is over. A confetti pinata gets everywhere and, as such, is subject to a special $150 cleaning charge. Why so much? Because we would rather you didn't:)
Can you pencil us in for a potential party date?
Unfortunately, we cannot pencil in a date without a non-refundable deposit of $250 to hold the spot for a BASH or ULTIMATE Party and a $600 deposit for a UNLIMITED Party. Do the coaches guide the kids through the party?
From check-in to clean-up, our coaches know how to throw a party that kids love! They will run the activities that make everyone, parents included, have a fantastic time! Remember, a party @ GRIT is your PRIVATE PARTY! You're taking over our entire facility for your event!
Do you have private parties on weekdays?
Private parties are typically reserved for Friday nights, Saturday afternoons, and Sunday afternoons. Saturday evenings can be booked when there is no special event. What does GRIT provide?

Please note- Bring your ice as we don't own an ice machine. Unfortunately, we cannot hold beverages or cakes in our fridges before your event as we typically have multiple events on a given day. Plan on arriving 15 minutes before your party, and our great coaches will help you set up everything!
Why do my guests need to sign a Waiver?
GRIT is a gym filled with fun equipment and obstacles. We are very safety-focused and want to ensure your party is the best! We ask all participants to sign our Safety Waiver before arrival so we can get your party started on time. A signed waiver is required to enter GRIT. The Waiver can be found at the bottom of our website.
Do you provide Digital Invitations?
GRIT Birthday Party Digital Invitations are available for $49. Ask for details.
What food / catering options do you recommend?
Below are some crowd favorites, but feel free to bring food or engage with any local vendor!
Please make sure to ask that all food be delivered when your party starts to ensure that it is there for the celebration! For pizza, we suggest having it delivered no later than 30 minutes after the start of your party!

Kids love pizza for Birthdays! Krispy’s is a great local option. They have dedicated delivery drivers and a website that allows you to pre-order and have your pizza delivered on time - every time. They also have trays and half trays of different pasta and salads! Make sure to order your kid's pizza double-sliced!
